Beta Version 0.0.5: Getting into the rhythm.

Beta release v0.0.5 of Rhythmic Hypnosis is out now!

It contains a simple tweak, but one that I think is important for the game: No more pressing buttons to advance text! Now, text will automatically progress every four beats, keeping things on time. Gameplay button sequences have been updated to fit into a 4/4 pattern as well - no more sets of 3 or 5 button presses alone!

Additionally, there's actual rhythm in this rhythm game now! Sometimes, you can get half-note or quarter-note button presses. To make this more playable, I want to see if I can have multiple rings moving in to help the user predict future button prompts, rather than being caught off guard by a quarter-note button prompt popping up nearly instantly.

The trouble here is that the game's sequence is partially randomly generated and near-infinite, with a special little "VM" of sorts to translate a series of rules for picking dialogue, timing changes and button prompts into discrete steps for it to process. Each step taken by this "VM" takes effect immediately, and some can even alter the stack by appending new instructions, for example when repetition or random choices are involved. Perhaps I need to make the system look ahead and pre-generate the next n button prompts?

The Gameplay Sequence is a series of special instructions that generate dialogue and button prompts.

Gameplay Instructions are processed on a stack, similar to a simple Virtual Machine. This stack started as a simple list of "pages" of dialogue to click through, hence this stack is called a 'page list.'
